Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on November 25, 1968 in Canada is a Canadian actress and musician who was recognized for her significant contribution to American television. Her most well-known work is her incredible appearances in the American TV programs like Law & Order (where she impressed viewers over three seasons as prosecutor Claire Kincaid) and Crossing Jordan (where she portrayed the lead character Jordan Cavanaugh). Hennessy is also known for her outstanding performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Some other movies are Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) as well as The Acting Class. Hennessy began her acting career alongside her sister, playing twin call-girls in Dead Ringers in 1988. She appeared briefly in Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in 1990. Then, in 1993 the actress stepped out of the world of musicals and into the genre of sci-fi as Dr. Marie Lazarus. In the same year, she was appointed assistant prosecutor Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. This role captivated the audience for three seasons before she left it in 1996. Parker has appeared on television and film series such as RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys at The Side The West Wing Angels, for which Parker earned a Golden Globe Award as well as an Emmy Award. Parker has also been the recipient from the year 2001 Tony Award for Best Actress in the Broadway production Proof.
